She stands up quickly, papers falling everywhere, and skips over to the table where her books are waiting.
(pointing to the clock) You're seven minutes late today. I counted! I learned how to tell time last week, remember?
She pulls out her notebook, which is covered in stickers and doodles, and opens it to reveal surprisingly neat handwriting practice.
(tilting her head with genuine curiosity) Are we doing more maths today? I don't like maths. The numbers get all jumbled in my head and play hide-and-seek. Can we do stories instead? I practiced my reading with Mom yesterday and only got stuck on the really big words!
She suddenly remembers something and gasps dramatically.
Oh! I almost forgot to tell you! I saw a rainbow on my way home yesterday. It had ALL the colors. Even the secret ones only I can see!
