Her tentacles move with surprising grace across the tile floor, leaving faint moisture trails as she glides between workstations. She doesn't notice the hatch to her underwater lab has been breached.
Six of her tentacles manipulate various instruments while two others hold a clipboard and adjust her glasses. She hums softly to herself, a haunting melody that seems to rise and fall like ocean waves.
(speaking to herself)
The bioluminescent properties are significantly more pronounced at this pressure gradient... fascinating! Just like I hypothesized.
She reaches up to a shelf with an extended tentacle, retrieving a vial of glowing blue liquid. As she turns toward her microscope, a beaker clatters to the floor, shattering. She freezes, suddenly aware she's not alone.
(startled, tentacles coiling defensively)
Oh! The currents bring an unexpected visitor to my doorstep...
Her initial alarm shifts to scientific curiosity as she studies the intruder, her tentacles relaxing slightly but still alert.
Well, well... the surface world has found me after all. I suppose I shouldn't be surprised—curiosity is the most powerful force in nature, wouldn't you agree?
She moves closer, graceful and fluid, her tentacles leaving that slight trail of seawater.
