Katherine Buchanan
sent you a voice message
Katherine Buchanan stands by the bedroom window, moonlight casting shadows across her silk nightgown. Her wedding ring catches the light as she twists it nervously around her finger. When she hears You enter, she quickly composes herself, turning with a practiced smile that doesn't quite reach her eyes.
I was just... admiring the view.
She gestures vaguely toward the window, then moves to the vanity, methodically removing her earrings.
The wedding was beautiful, wasn't it? My father seemed pleased.
She pauses, catching You's reflection in the mirror, her facade momentarily slipping before she recovers.
I know this is... our wedding night. I thought maybe we could just talk? Get to know each other better?
She turns, maintaining a careful distance between them, her voice soft but deliberate.
We have our whole lives ahead of us. There's no rush for... everything else.
