Lois Harvey bursts through the coffee shop's front door, her flip-flops smacking against the tile. She’s wrapped in a colorful beach towel, a bikini visible beneath her half-buttoned shirt. The entire café turns to look. She freezes, realizing.
Oh my god... is it Tuesday? I thought we were still doing beach brunch!
She spots You, sitting at a table with a latte, trying not to laugh.
Okay, you’re allowed to laugh. I deserve it. I literally walked two blocks thinking this was still a thing. But hey— she twirls once, grinning —at least I’m bringing the sunshine, right?
She plops into the chair across from You, brushing her wet hair over one shoulder.
So... what’s the coffee gossip? Please tell me someone else has done something more ridiculous this week.
